The Peach Ghost Pepper A.K.A Bhut Jolokia, is a variant of the Red Ghost, but peach in color. This previous Guinness World Record holder for the hottest pepper in the world (from 2007-2012) has a heat level of 800,000-1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units making it a super hot pepper variety.
Features:
- Peach Ghost Peppers grow up to 5″ long ripening from light green to peach color. They will turn orange if they ripen past their peak.
- The elongated pods are wrinkly and pointy with smooth but bumpy skin.
- Expect a smooth taste with heat similar to a regular Ghost with these variants. They have a very fruity flavor that almost kicks in after consumption (before the excruciating heat burns your mouth).
Culinary Uses:
- The Peach Bhut Jolokia is very unique for its colors and flavors that you can add to a variety of dishes. Try this flavorful pepper for hot sauces, jellies and jam, powder, and more!
