The Biquinho White pepper plant is known for providing an enormous amount of peppers. In a single growing season, it is very possible to get hundreds! The peppers are shaped like a reverse teardrop and grow to about 1” in size. Biquinho White pepper pods start as green and ripen to pearl white or yellowish white. These plants are compact and grow to about 2-3 feet tall.
The Biquinho White Pepper has several unique nicknames. It is also known as “Little Beak Peppers“, “Sweaty Drops“, or “Little Kiss“. The word biquinho is a Portuguese word that translates to little beak. Like the Biquinho Red pepper, the Biquinho White is quite popular in Brazil and Peru, and it is commonly called “Chupetinho” by the locals there.
These peppers have an intense habanero-like fruity flavor. The heat of the Biquinho White pepper is compared to a little kiss of heat. The mild heat adds a delightful touch to many dishes. They are delicious when fresh, pickled, added to salads, added to salsas, and more!
